The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to close the reopened application window for the 22nd edition of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) on September 1, 2026. Eligible candidates who missed the earlier registration period have been given another opportunity to submit their applications.
CBSE reopened the online application window on August 25, 2026, following the postponement of the CTET examination. The Board has stated that a revised examination date will be announced separately after the application process is completed.
Another Opportunity for Eligible Candidate.
The reopening of the application window has provided relief to candidates who were unable to complete their registration during the original application period. However, candidates are advised to complete the application process before the deadline and carefully check all details before submitting their forms.
The CTET is an important eligibility examination for individuals aspiring to become teachers in schools. The examination is conducted for two papers, covering candidates seeking eligibility for teaching at different school levels.
How to Complete Registration
- Visit the official CTET portal at ctet.nic.in.
- Click on the CTET September 2026 Registration link. Fill in personal, educational, and contact details.
- Upload scanned copies of required documents (photograph and signature). Pay the application fee via Debit/Credit Card or Net Banking and submit the form.

Revised Examination Date Yet to Be Announced
While the application window has been reopened, CBSE has not yet announced the revised date for the CTET September 2026 examination. Candidates who have already registered do not need to submit fresh applications unless instructed otherwise by the Board.
The revised schedule, along with further details regarding examination centres, city intimation slips and admit cards, is expected to be announced through official channels after the registration process concludes.
Candidates Advised to Follow Official Updates
Applicants should regularly check official CBSE and CTET announcements to stay informed about the revised examination date and other important instructions.
As the application deadline arrives, eligible candidates are encouraged to complete their registration without waiting until the last minute and ensure that all required information is submitted correctly.
