CBSE will conduct Class 12 board exams in seven West Asian countries from October 23 to 28, 2026, for students unhappy with results under the special assessment scheme after earlier exams were cancelled.Admit cards were released on October 12, with one exam centre per country, and the new results will be final, replacing earlier performance.
CBSE has clarified that Class 10 students need 33% aggregate (board exam + internal assessment) to pass a subject, not 33% separately in each component.The proposed subject-wise requirement was rolled back, while Class 12 still requires 33% separately in theory and practical along with an overall aggregate.
The Government has extended the NMMSS 2026-27 application deadline to 31 October 2026. Eligible Class VIII students can apply on the National Scholarship Portal for a ₹12,000 per year scholarship (₹1,000/month) from Class IX to Class XII.
