The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a strict warning to schools and subject experts regarding the circulation of exam paper analysis before the official conclusion of board examinations.

The clarification comes amid instances where paper analysis was reportedly shared during or immediately after the conduct of CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 examinations.

CBSE Flags Early Analysis as Improper Practice

A senior official from the board stated that no individual or institution can legitimately access the question paper while the examination is in progress. Any analysis shared before the end of the exam may be treated as misleading or fabricated content.

CBSE indicated that such actions could be considered a violation of examination norms and may lead to legal consequences under applicable rules.

Clarification from Institutions

In response to the concerns, a representative associated with one of the institutions stated that the analysis was prepared using sample question papers and not from the actual exam paper. The representative added that a revised analysis would be shared after the exam concluded.

CBSE reiterated that sharing speculative or pre-drafted analysis during an ongoing examination creates confusion among students and parents.

CBSE Advisory on Rumours and Misinformation

The board has also cautioned students and parents against believing unverified claims circulating on social media regarding question paper leaks.

According to CBSE, misleading information during examinations can cause unnecessary anxiety and disrupt the exam process. The board has warned that individuals found spreading misinformation may face strict action.

Mandatory First Exam for Class 10 Students

CBSE has clarified that it is compulsory for all Class 10 students to appear in the first board examination.

Students who fail to appear in at least three subjects in the first edition of the exam will be placed in the “essential repeat” category.

This clarification follows requests from some students seeking permission to appear only in the second examination due to personal reasons.
