Kerala's engineering and pharmacy entrance rank list will be officially released today at 1 PM in Kochi by Minister Roji M John. The publication was originally scheduled for June 22 but was postponed because CBSE revaluation results were delayed.

Nearly 13 percent of CBSE applicants have not yet received their revaluation scores. Faced with this situation, authorities have chosen to use the candidates' original marks for the final ranking instead of waiting for the revised scores.

This decision has caused concern among parents, who warn that treating the older marks as final could lead to legal challenges. They fear that such challenges might disrupt the entire admission schedule for the state.

The Entrance Commissionerate has defended the move, explaining that CBSE candidates were given three separate windows to upload their revised marks. Officials stated that any further extension would cause the allotment pipeline to collapse.

According to the timeline set by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), engineering classes must begin by July 30, and all admissions must be completed by August 14. This leaves authorities with only one month to conduct three successive rounds of allotments and finalise spot admissions by August 10.

The Entrance Commissioner had previously asked AICTE for an extension to the allotment schedule, but the council rejected the request. Meanwhile, CBSE has not provided any update on when the remaining revaluation results will be declared.

Given these rigid deadlines, the Commissionerate clarified that releasing the rank list immediately is the only practical option. They stated this step protects the interests of the majority of applicants and prevents a complete halt in the state's professional admissions process.
