The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced a re-examination for 49 candidates after a power outage disrupted the All India Ayush Postgraduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) at a centre in Jaipur.
The disruption occurred at Sri Satya Sai PG College during the first shift of the examination. The power failure lasted around 30–45 minutes, affecting 192 candidates who were appearing for the Ayurveda paper.
While 143 candidates resumed and completed the examination after power was restored and additional time was provided, 49 candidates did not complete the test. The NTA has decided to conduct a fresh examination for these candidates on September 1 at 10 am at Rajasthan College of Engineering, Jaipur.
The NTA has also issued a show-cause notice to Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited**, the agency conducting the examination, and suspended its empanelment pending further action.
AIAPGET is a national entrance examination for admission to postgraduate courses in Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Siddha and Unani systems of medicine. This year, 49,867 candidates appeared for the examination at 205 centres across the country.
